Welcome to Resonance Health

Resonance Health develops unique quantitative MRI image analysis technologies for the diagnosis and monitoring of human disease.

FerriScan® is the core product of Resonance Health, providing a highly accurate estimate of liver iron concentration, critical in the management of patients with potentially fatal iron overload conditions.

Iron overload can arise through a number of conditions. Blood disorders such as thalassemia, sickle cell anaemia, Diamond Blackfan anaemia and myelodysplastic syndrome may require patients to have regular blood transfusions, causing an accumulation of iron in the blood, which deposits initially in the liver. Other disorders such as haemochromatosis cause a higher than normal uptake of iron from the diet.

Accurate liver iron quantification is vital in informing clinicians’ decisions on treatment options.
