Data Security

Resonance Health has undertaken extensive measures to ensure the security of patient data. The measures include data and internet security, staff training, de-identification of patient data , quality control procedures, adherence to the MTAA Code of Practice and physical security systems within the service centre.

Resonance Health has developed a secure web-based system called FAST (FerriScan Analysis Service Tracking system). This system allows our customers to securely upload magnetic resonance images for analysis. The images are subsequently downloaded by the service centre, analysed and an electronic report is delivered to customers by uploading it to FAST where they can access it.

All data transfer to and from the FAST system is secured. The system utilises the HTTPS protocol with 128 bits SSL encryption (certified by thawte). Access to the system is restricted by unique login IDs and passwords.

The server that runs the FAST system is co-located in a professional high security hosting facility with maximum bandwidth broadband internet, dual PIX firewall for security, offsite backups, redundant power supply and 24x7 network support.
