Resonance Health attended or exhibited at three conferences in Europe in June 2015. We profiled both our FerriScan® and HepaFat-Scan® technologies to thousands of delegates and generated almost a hundred leads from around the world.
European Hematology Association (EHA) Congress – Vienna
Attending EHA in Vienna provided Resonance Health with the opportunity to hold personal meetings with stakeholders from the UK, Bulgaria, Greece, and Germany to further develop our collaborations. A meeting was also held with the Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF) to progress project plans for expanding the use of FerriScan into countries with high numbers of patients. Over 10,000 delegates attended this event.
Sickle Cell in Focus – London
Exhibiting at and attending the two-day Sickle Cell in Focus Conference in London, chaired by Prof Swee Lay Thein, provided an excellent insight into new developments in treatment for Sickle Cell patients. Topics included innovative gene therapy, debates around use of Hydroxyurea, trial data and the need for greater equity of care. Iron Overload and its management was a notable topic on the agenda and Resonance Health received keen interest from delegates in the US and Europe at the stand.
Digestive Disorders Federation / BASL Meeting – London
This congress bought together five organisations in a meeting largely aimed at hepatologists and gastroenterologists. Attended by 5000 delegates, the meeting offered an opportunity for Resonance Health to increase awareness of the role of HepaFat-Scan to delegates and highlight referral pathways at new FerriScan sites. With NAFLD and NASH part of the meeting agenda, there was good interest from delegates in HepaFat-Scan. Continued interest was also demonstrated in the role of FerriScan for patients with Hereditary Haemochromatosis.
